MESQUITE, TEXAS (January 2018) The twelfth annual Lone Star Legacy Gala will feature the legendary Rock and Roll band The Beach Boys as the headline concert entertainment. The event will be held on February 24, 2018 at Mesquite Arena. All proceeds benefit Mesquite ISD teachers and students through the funding of innovative educational programs.

You can capsulize most pop music acts by reciting how many hits they’ve had and how many millions of albums they’ve sold. But these conventional measurements fall short when you’re assessing the impact of The Beach Boys. This band has birthed a torrent of hit singles and sold albums by the tens of millions. But its greater significance lies in the fact that it changed the musical landscape so profoundly that every pop act since has been in its debt. The Beach Boys were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1988, alongside The Beatles, Bob Dylan and the Supremes.

"Having the opportunity to present a legendary band like The Beach Boys to the Mesquite community and north Texas is a true privilege for me and my fellow Mesquite ISD Education Foundation Board Members." said David Belt, Board President of the Mesquite ISD Education Foundation. “We've tried to provide ticket pricing and table sponsorship options to accommodate anyone and everyone that would like to come see a transcendent band like The Beach Boys. The Lone Star Legacy Gala will be held at Mesquite Arena on February 24, 2018. In addition to a night of great music, the event will feature a live auction as well as a 7-day on-line auction. Table sponsorships are available on the arena floor beginning at $1,000 for a table of eight people. Concert tickets will be sold through Ticketmaster and the Mesquite Arena Box Office beginning January 11. All concert tickets are reserved seating and ticket prices will range from $35 - $80.
