Mesquite ISD Community Education would like to hear from you.  We offer a wide variety of classes for all ages in Mesquite and surrounding communities.  Feedback from the community is very important to us and we welcome your ideas or suggestions. With your input, MISD Community Education can continue to offer the classes and programs you would like to be a part of.

New and interesting classes create a need for new instructors. If you have a special talent or skill, consider sharing your knowledge as a class instructor. There is a need for informal and formal instruction in our community, and you, or someone you know, could be a part of that education.

In 1982, while driving down a street in East Dallas, Bernadette Reynal saw a banner on a building that read, “Stained Glass Lessons Here”.  On a whim, she entered the building and enrolled for lessons immediately.  Within a matter of weeks, she was hired as a full time apprentice, discovering her natural talent and perfecting her newfound craft.

Bernadette Reynal is known on a national level as a master craftsman in stained glass fabrication and renovation.  One of her most recent major renovations was for the First United Church in West, Texas after the explosion in April of 2013.

Reynal has 32 years of experience as a stained glass artist.  Her exceptional work is featured all over the country in public and residential settings.

Reynal is passionate about her art and the happiness it brings to her clients.  Her hometown community of Mesquite, Texas is something else she is passionate about.  Reynal is a Mesquite native who is ambitious towards making her community a better place to be.  She has recently teamed up with Mesquite ISD’s Community Education department as an instructor for the new Beginning Stained Glass courses offered in this fall semester’s class schedule.  Mesquite ISD Community Education is also looking to add a Kid’s Stained Glass Mosaic class in the spring of 2014.
