    Learn and discuss how Twelve Step interventions can be discussed in similar terms as medications.  Issues such as dosing, effectiveness, mechanism of action and side effects will be explored. 
  • This Land of Strangers - The Relationship Crisis that Imperils Home, Work, Faith and Politics

    This workshop will highlight how the mega-trend of broad relationship decline is both a contributing cause of and a healing source for the mental health and addiction challenges we face.
  • Relationships and Recovery for Geniuses, Dummies and other Pilgrims (CEU)
    Gary G Kindley, D. Min., LPC Intern, CMAT, CSAT Candidate - Pastoral Psychotherapist
    Explore the unique challenges and opportunities of relationships when addiction/recovery is present.  Geared for professionals working with couples and persons in a relationship, this presentations will be both didactic and interactive, offering tools for counselors, tips for couples, and always time to laugh at ourselves
  • Let Go or Be Dragged.  Facing Addiction in Your Family and Friends
    Kimberly Williams, LPC, Family Counselor, Caron Texas
    This Zen proverb speaks to those who are experiencing addiction in a friend or family member. Explore the 3 C’s of recovery.  You may have heard them before, “You didn’t cause it, you can’t control it and you can’t cure it.”  But what can you do?  What does healthy support look like?  How do you take care of you in the process?  Join Kimberly and family members she has worked with to find solutions that will work for you and your loved ones.
