Bishop Lynch Students Compete in Round 2 of the American Scholastic Math Association Senior Division

Bishop Lynch High School's Mu Alpha Theta Club and the Math Department would like to recognize the 73 students who competed on Tuesday, November 11th, in the 2nd Round of the American Scholastic Association’s Senior Division Math Contest. The contest required students to solve 7 challenging problems in 35 minutes, and the team score was the sum of the scores of the top eight participants. Junior Michael Gao took 1st Place, with a perfect score. Seniors Yonny Girma and Ze Lyu tied for 2nd Place. Senior Arielle Rodriguez, junior Alex Cavasso, and freshman Megan Metry tied for 4th Place, and there was an eight-way tie for 7th Place shared by Angella Blake, Caitlyn O’Connor, Ashtyn Zapletal, Corbin Neumann, Sarah Dieter, Courtney Newman, Lauren Chester, and Matthew Newman.
