Get out now and enjoy the first brisk day of fall!

It's fun to put on a jacket and breathe the crisp clean air!

Be sure to stop by Loving Garland Green's booth.  We are located in front of the Generator where you can stop in for a warm cup of coffee or cocoa. Among other things, we are selling hand made Dia de los Muertos masks.  Buy one for a dollar, write the name of a loved one on the back of the mask and the tell someone about that person and what they mean to you.  Today and tomorrow are especially set aside in Latino cultures for remembering deceased loved ones.

The Garland Mosaic Festival has begun (9AM to 2 PM!  There is food, entertainment, exotic gifts and sights to see!  At noon there will be Maharlika Dances and Keolas Hula Halau.  From 12:30 to 2PM you can see and hear Indian Cultural music and dance, Spanish dance and music, and also listen to some saxophone and flute jazz.

Ruibal's of Dallas has partnered with Loving Garland Green to bring a field of flowers for the festival.  In the photo below on the right you see Nancy Seaberg (Loving Garland Green Chair of this event) and Anita Opel (Loving Garland Green's treasurer) with the beautiful flowers.  A few winter vegetables such as cabbage are also available for sale.  Ruibal's is all about what it means to be local.  They know and support local well.  In 1984 Michael Ruibal began selling bedding plants out of a small truck and a 10 x 20 foot daily rental space at the Dallas Farmers' Market.  One truckload at at time, one customer at a time, and the desire to satisfy every customer earned them the great reputation they deserve.
