Do you have an interest in becoming a Scout or are you already a Scout?
Join us for Eastern Skies District's Annual Cub Fun Day and Scout Recruiting Day!
It's going to be a day fun-filled with the family, with activities including water bottle rockets, a space derby race, rope bridge, rubberband guns, archery, BB guns, tennis program, Science experiments and magic demonstration, Beads of Courage craft, neckerchief slide painting, tug-of-war, knot tying activity, water relay, carnival games, and more. A Cub Fun Day Patch will be given to all scout participants. We will pass out backpacks with restaurant coupons on a first come first served basis. Bring lunch, a water bottle, and sunscreen. There will be a small snack booth with snacks and sodas for $1 each.
Boys join Scouting because they want to have fun! Scouting offers boys the opportunity to meet challenges, make new friends, feel good about themselves and feel they are important to other people as well. While the boys are having fun, they also learn new things, discover and master new skills, gain self-confidence, and develop strong friendships. Scouting provides good role models and a group setting where values are taught and help to reinforce positive qualities of character. A Scout learns his duty to God, his country, others, and self.
The cost is $10 for Scouts, $5 for siblings or those interested in joining Scouts, and free for parents/Scout leaders. RSVP to Jo Lena Lancaster at firstname.lastname@example.org or 214-929-0054.
Scouts are: Cub Scouts (boys in 1st grade through 5th grade), Boy Scouts (boys ages 11-17) , and Venturers (girls and boys ages 14-20)
